Pediatric Restorative Post-Op Instructions — Danville
- Do not allow your child to bite, suck, scratch, or pick at their lips, cheeks, gums, and tongue while they are numb.
- Do not allow your child to eat food or chew gum or candy while numb. If it is absolutely necessary for your child to eat, be sure it is very soft food (yogurt, pudding, ice cream, or broth-type soups).
- Do reassure your child the numb feeling is only temporary and will go away in a short time.
